Allie Anady, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-founder of Evolve DPT in Carlsbad, California. Since 2017, she has helped patients recover, move better, and return to the activities they love. Watching people regain confidence in their bodies and reach their goals is one of the most rewarding parts of her work. As an athlete herself, Allie has a particular passion for sports physical therapy and helping athletes recover from sports injuries.
Allie’s roots are in Carlsbad. Her experience as a patient at Gaspar Physical Therapy, recovering from injuries as a soccer player and sprinter, sparked her interest in the field. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at UC San Diego, then her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
During her training, she gained experience in clinical settings, including gait training in an outpatient neurological clinic and an internship with active-duty service members and veterans at Travis Air Force Base. She graduated in 2017 and rejoined the Gaspar team in 2023.
Her professional mission is to educate, inspire, and empower people to live healthier, more active lives. In 2024, she expanded her training in lower-extremity biomechanics through advanced coursework in movement analysis with Dr. Chris Powers. That training added high-level biomechanical assessment and advanced technology to how she reads movement patterns and injury risk.
With the support of Gaspar Physical Therapy, Allie helped launch the Video Movement Analysis Program at Evolve DPT. The program provides detailed biomechanical evaluations, including running gait analysis, and individualized strategies to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
Outside the clinic, Allie spends time with her husband and two young children, stays active with soccer and weightlifting, and enjoys days at the beach. Staying active is central to her life, and she looks forward to helping patients keep pursuing the activities that matter most to them.

Care beyond the diagnosisTreatment built around each patient’s goals and motivations
Ivan Vicario, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-founder and Clinic Director of Evolve DPT in Carlsbad, California. He began his career in USC’s Athletic Medicine Department, then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy to expand his knowledge and practice. He worked with diverse patient populations outside of sports medicine and developed an interest in many areas of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
After graduating from USC’s DPT program in 2013, Ivan spent his first years working in orthopedic physical therapy and sports rehabilitation. He treated patients of all ages, including recreational and competitive athletes.
Over the past decade, his practice has evolved. He now works extensively with patients dealing with chronic conditions, including systemic medical diagnoses, oncology rehabilitation, and complex orthopedic cases. He specializes in treating recurring injuries, chronic conditions, and persistent pain patterns.
As a physical therapist, Ivan knows the importance of understanding the whole person to better assess the various factors contributing to their current state. Getting a full understanding of his patients’ goals and motivations is a critical part of how he develops treatment plans for each patient.
To ensure the ability to provide this depth of care, Ivan created Evolve DPT as a new model of care that allows for creating the long-term changes he sees as necessary for his patients to permanently live a healthy, active lifestyle, regardless of diagnosis.
Outside of work, Ivan spends time outdoors with his wife and two boys, visiting friends and family, attending sporting events, and enjoying San Diego’s craft brewery scene.

Return to activityGetting patients of all kinds back to what they value most
Lauren Worley, PT, DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Evolve DPT in Carlsbad, California, and a former professional dancer. She focuses on helping all types of patients move well and return to the activities they value most. She draws on her dance background when evaluating and treating movement patterns. A trained dancer’s eye for movement helps her find the root cause of symptoms and build a fun, creative, and effective treatment plan for any diagnosis.
Before her transition into physical therapy, Lauren had a career as a professional dancer. From childhood into her teenage years, she trained in the Cecchetti method at a ballet studio in Carmel Valley. There she learned the discipline and dedication required of a young dancer. After a pre-professional training company and a year with BalletMet Columbus, she earned her BFA in contemporary dance performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Her professional credits include serving as a company member with Gregory Dawson’s dawsondancesf contemporary ballet company in San Francisco. In New York City, she worked freelance, including on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s motion picture In the Heights.
In addition to performing on stage, Lauren developed a passion for fitness as a personal trainer for high-profile clientele at Tracy Anderson Method in New York City.
Pivoting to physical therapy was a natural progression, shaped by years of navigating her own dance-related injuries and a desire to help fellow dancers and colleagues manage theirs. Having danced professionally in major cities across the country, she brings a firsthand understanding of the physical and mental demands placed on dancers of all ages and levels. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2026 and has a special interest in physical therapy for dancers and performing artists.
Outside the clinic, Lauren spends time at the beach with friends, tries new workout classes, teaches ballet, and goes adventure hiking with her dog, Tutu.
