Meet Our Doctors of Physical Therapy

Allie Anady, PT, DPT
Co-Founder

Since earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017, I have dedicated my career to helping patients recover, move better, and return to the activities they love. Watching individuals regain confidence in their bodies and achieve their goals continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession. As an athlete, I have a particular passion for working with individuals recovering from sports-related injuries.

My roots originate in Carlsbad. My own experience as a patient at Gaspar Physical Therapy—while recovering from injuries as a soccer player and sprinter—sparked my initial interest in the field. After completing my undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, I pursued my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine.

During my training, I gained experience in a variety of clinical settings, including gait training in an outpatient neurological clinic and working with active-duty service members and veterans during an internship at Travis Air Force base. I proudly graduated in 2017 and was thrilled to rejoin the Gaspar team in 2023.

My professional mission extends beyond delivering expert care—it is about educating, inspiring, and empowering people to live healthier, more active lives. In 2024, I further expanded my training in lower-extremity biomechanics through advanced coursework in movement analysis with Dr. Chris Powers. This experience allowed me to integrate high-level biomechanical assessment using advanced technology to better understand movement patterns and injury risk.

With the support of Gaspar Physical Therapy, I helped launch the Video Movement Analysis Program within Evolve DPT, which allows us to provide detailed biomechanical evaluations and individualized strategies to improve performance and reduce injury risk.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young children, staying active with soccer and weightlifting, and taking advantage of time at the beach. Staying active is a central part of my life, and I look forward to helping you continue pursuing the activities that matter most to you.

Ivan Vicario, PT, DPT
Co-Founder & Clinic Director

After starting my career in USC’s Athletic Medicine Department, I moved on to receive my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in order to expand my knowledge and practice. During this time, I was exposed to diverse patient populations outside of sports medicine, and developed interest in various aspects of Physical Therapy and rehabilitation.

After graduating from USC’s DPT program in 2013, I spent my first few years working primarily in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, with patients of all ages, including recreational and competitive athletes.

Over the past decade since then, my practice has evolved, working extensively with patients dealing with chronic conditions, including systemic medical diagnoses, oncology rehabilitation and complex orthopedic cases. During this time, I have developed a specialty treating patients with recurrent injuries, chronic conditions and persistent pain patterns.

My priority as a PT is to help my patients regain or maintain a healthy, active lifestyle, regardless of their diagnosis or current level of function.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time outside with my wife and two boys, visiting friends and family, attending sporting events, and enjoying San Diego’s craft brewery scene.
